(I stole this from Kat!!)
1.What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
The boys, Micah and I went on a long vacation, out of province, by ourselves. Planned, paid for and everything, by ourselves, like real responsible adults. I also made a roast! Several of them AND WE DIDN’T DIE!!
2.Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I’m not big on NYR. I mean. I never keep them, and then get all sad that I didn’t manage to do X or Y. Like I like to tell the boys, Start the way you mean to go. I’m determined to start this year happy, heatly and with the ones I love the most. The rest of the year had better follow suit.
3.Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes. January Second saw the birth of a sweet little boy. He doesn’t like me. Yet, but that will change once aunty spoils him proper.

Almost. My father had a very, very close call. It was horrible.

Well. Canada for one.
6.What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Silly, I know, but I would like to keep my house cleaner.

July fourth. See #4
8.What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably – and don’t laugh – learning to cook proper adult foods like roasts and lasagnas and stuffs. I also printed out a map and drove somewhere all by myself.
9.What was your biggest failure?
I don’t consider anything in 2009 to have been a failure. Sure somethings I tried didn’t work out, but as long as I learn from it, it’s all good.
10.Did you suffer illness or injury?
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Uhm. Yes. Yes I did.
11.What was the best thing you bought?
Probably the wool peacoat for 17$. That would be the best bargain, but my favorite things I bought were my new shoes, and allllllllll of my new socks.
All of them.
12.Whose behavior merited celebration?
My father and his wife. They took what happened on July 4th, and changed their entire lives. they are more active, the eat better, and I think they are just generally enjoying life more.

Due to the varied readers of this blog, this question will remain unanswered.

Bills and food and food and bills. And socks.
15.What events did you get really, really, really excited about?
I met a blogger in real life this year, and I was both overly excited and overly terrified of that, but also Christmas. I love Christmas.
16.What song will always remind you of 2009?
Hmm. I don’t listen to a lot of music, and I have a problem with dates – including years, so even if I DID listen to music a lot, I would never remember that X song was from Year Y.
17.Compared to this time last year, are you:
i.happier or sadder? Happier. I think. I was pretty happy last year. Can i just say Stayed the same?

Probably Jessi and Sheri
22.Did you fall in love in 2009?
Yes. But I fell in love with the same person I’ve loved for nearly 13 years. I find that love both stays the same and changes, at the same time, and I look forward to those changes and what they will bring
)
23. How many one-night stands?
Well, I did break the rules once and took Sammi to bed for a nap with me one afternoon. Does that count? i doubt it, it was int eh afternoon and not the night.

I refuse to waste my time hating someone.
26. What was the best book you read?
OMG. Impossible question. Almost every book I read is “the best”, at least during the time that it takes to read it. If we go by how many times I re-read a book (..or series) in the year, Twilight wins, hands down.

Uhm. yeah. no. I’m not all that into music.
28. What did you want and get?
SOCKS!
29. What did you want and not get?
*sob* the Cannon Rebel xsi
30. What were your favorite films of this year?
Erm. Not twilight or new moon, that’s for sure. Look. You need to realize that I have favorite movies, but I simply cannot remember. were they from 2008? 2009? 1990? I’m, not good at dates like that. I cannot be expected to answer questions like this! For crying out loud people, I got my OWN children’s birth dates tattoo’d on my body, and USE said tattoo when filling our forms!

This year I turned 30, and it was spent with my family. It was a good day.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
well, for one, winning the lottery, and second, winning the lottery. How awesome would it be to be home with my hubs every day? To not worry about paying bills and to take the boys to Disney land or just for a run through the toy store without having to say No?
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Well. I got new socks. And then i changed the kind of clothing I wear so that I could show off said new socks. Is that fashion?

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
“If Momma is happy, everyone is happy”
40. Do you have any lost feelings of others.
I’m not sure I understand the question.
41.Quote a song that sums up your year:
Montgomery Gentry; Something to be Proud Of
There’s a story that my daddy tells religiously
Like clockwork every time he sees an opening
In a conversation about the way things used to be
Well I’d just roll my eyes and make a bee-line for the door
But I’d always wind up starry-eyed, cross-legged on the floor
Hanging on to every word
Man, the things I heard
It was harder times and longer days
Five miles to school, uphill both ways
We were cane switch raised, and dirt floor poor
‘Course that was back before the war
Yeah, your uncle and I made quite a pair
Flying F-15’s through hostile air
He went down but they missed me by a hair
He’d always stop right there and say…
That’s something to be proud of
That’s a life you can hang your hat on
That’s a chin held high as the tears fall down
A gut sucked in, a chest stuck out
Like a small town flag a-flyin’
Or a newborn baby cryin’
In the arms of the woman that you love
That’s something to be proud of
Son graduatin’ college, that was mama’s dream
But I was on my way to anywhere else when I turned 18
Cuz when you gotta fast car you think you’ve got everything
I learned quick those GTO’s don’t run on faith
I ended up broken down in some town north of L.A.
Working maximum hours for minimum wage
Well, I fell in love, next thing I know
The babies came, the car got sold
I sure do miss that old hot rod
But you sure save gas in them foreign jobs
Dad, I wonder if I ever let you down
If you’re ashamed how I turned out
Well, he lowered his voice, then he raised his brow
Said, lemme tell ya right now
That’s something to be proud of
That’s a life you can hang your hat on
You don’t need to make a million
Just be thankful to be workin’
If you’re doing what you’re able
And putting food there on the table
And providing for the family that you love
That’s something to be proud of
And if all you ever really do is the best you can
Well, you did it man
That’s something to be proud of
That’s a life you can hang your hat on
That’s a chin held high as the tears fall down
A gut sucked in, a chest stuck out
Like a small town flag a-flyin’
Or a newborn baby cryin’
In the arms of the woman that you love
That’s something to be proud of
That’s something to be proud of
Yeah, that’s something to be proud of
That’s something to be proud of
Now that’s something to be proud of
