Rampant excitement over the furnace filters, lol! I can relate–here we are in sunny CA and our furnace won’t light! It blows cold air! We have a fire going in the fireplace til Nick Air Systems fixes the problem–and yes I AM wearing thick thick cozy warm sox!

I could not imagin a day without socks! It’s nothing about fashion for me. I just wear the ones you don’t. Black with jeans and white at the gym and work. Flip flops are evil little things for me! And as a guy, I’d like to say I love women in socks! To me, they are the sexiest article of clothing. I think the ankle socks make the legs look better. But in recent years I see a disturbing trend toward those footie things…as though socks have become something to avoid, or hide!! I guess I’m a little different but, to me, from the ankle on down, that is the ugliest part of the body. So I appreciate socks on every level! And I think it’s so hot when the long pants a a little short and a bit of bare leg shows between the pants and socks. I love the 50’s style of rolled up jeans and bobby socks!

LOL @ Micah and the wedding socks! I realized the morning of our wedding that NONE of the guys in the wedding party were likely to own anything but ‘football’ socks. White, with colored stripes at the top. Malc had to go buy socks that morning. White dress socks for him and burgundy for all the guys – well, except the Dads, who, being older and wiser, had a proper sock wardrobe. Lucky he found a store open, too. Because it was a holiday!!

Oh – and I have a pair of gloves like the FUZZY socks in your picture. They were a life-saver when the heater in my car didn’t work–I’d love to have socks like those.

@phinz – LOL – I was drawing a bath for Logan the other day and he got undressed, went potty and hopped in the tub. He says “My feet feel weird” I had to tell him his socks were still on, he didn’t even notice! Also! Exciting news – we bought furnace filters, SIX of them!

@Crystal – I will definitely check them out! Thanks! I have a sock monkey tucked away in my ceder chest. my great grandfather made it.

@Bsti – LOL, thanks to twitter, the internet is just a wee bit smaller, eh? One day I will win the lottery and be forced to buy a house just to store my socks in!

You should check out http://myworld.ebay.com/samssockshop/ – I used to buy loads of socks from her when I was making custom sock monkeys, and she’s awesome. She used to sell thigh-high unbleached wool socks that were fantastic.
