Ugg ggg ggggggggggggggg g

So. Whatever. I’ve been offline for a while. Get over it. I could tell you that it is just life getting in the way, but that would be a lie. I could blame it on my nastyass cold that is for sure going to drown me in snot while I sleep, but again, a lie. What better time to blog than while lying on the couch whining for someone to bring me tea? I could blame it on FarmVille and my ever bountiful crops that need harvesting, but again, a lie.

I just didn’t feel like blogging. At least.. I didn’t feel like blogging here.

I load up Bluepaintred like a dutiful wife every night, but I lay stiff and unmoving, hoping that if I am quiet enough, still enough, the job will be done in a few minutes. I open my eyes and the page is still blank and I sigh and move on to another part of the interwebs.

Every night I think, this is it, this is the night that something funny will fall off my fingertips onto the screen of my laptop so I can push publish and walk away, satisfied that I have kept my part.

And it just isn’t happening.

And you know what? I’m not so sure that funny matters anymore. I miss my blog. I miss hitting these little black keys randomly and then having to backspace and fix all the typos. I miss logging into Gmail and seeing I have a comment.

I miss the internet.

So. Fuck funny and fuck trying to entertain.

I’m back bitches, but you may not like the new me.

  7. I enjoy following what’s going on with my favorite Canadian family. The funny is a bonus. Oh, and I especially like seeing pictures of your latest cake/cupcake creations.

    Maybe it will help you to feel better to know that you are the top-ranked farmer among my Farmville neighbors.

    Also – I was greatly amused last night, when I check your Hatchlings basket and found an egg decorated with a Canadian Maple Leaf! “How appropriate”, thought I.
