Back to normal?

I’m pretty sure that life will soon get back to what I refer to as normal around here. Dad is home (YAY!) and the packing is done.

Oh? I didn’t tell you that the past three days has been spent packing my Granny, who was living with my dad, to my aunt’s home, ten hours away. That’s really fucking far. It’s going to be weird to not have her close to home.

And packing sucks, for the most part. I got to steal a bunch of stuff that Grandma didn’t want to pack. Other then that, packing sucks. And makes me very tired. And dirty. But mostly tired.

AHNYfuckingway. Friday marks one week since my life fell apart then taped itself back together, and in the middle of panicking, pacing and packing, I’ve somehow neglected to do a single thing in around my house. Not one dish has been washed in a week. Not that I have cooked anything all week, but still. Lots to do…

SO. I’m going to spend Friday and Saturday getting the house back in order and spending some time with Micah and the children. With any luck, life here on BPR will be back to normal by Sunday evening!

    I also wash my dishes the way that Trish does (it rocks!). May I also recommend just opening the doors and using a leaf blower to remove all the dust and debris.

  8. Fabulous news! Too bad you didn’t think of just leaving the dishes outside the last few days while it rained… but hey, you could always have a ‘Greek’ night and just break them all. New dishes are clean already. ;-)

  11. I’m happy to see your dad is recovering and life is somewhat returning to normal. No matter how old we get we still need our parents in our lives. It’s scary when you are suddenly faced with the fact that they aren’t invincable. He’s got a great daughter. :)
