1. When I speak to the boys, I expect some sort of vocalization that shows they have heard and have understood what I have said to them. To that end, I generally end each statement to them with the word (letter) “Kay” as in OK. Their job is to reply “Kay” if they have understood.

Pretty simple. Except, I have gotten into the habit of replying “L” to them whenever they say “K”.

The other day I replied “L” to Logan’s “K” and he replied back to me “M”. this sparked a back and forth recital of the alphabet – until I said the letter “X”. The minute the letter “X” left my lips, Logan rished in and said “Circle,Square,Triangle!”

It might be time to start limiting his PlayStation time.

  2. The men in my life have a habit of not responding when I say something to them. All I ask for is a grunt of some sort so I know they heard me. Must be in the male DNA. Cool pic of your son :cool:
