Did I just Get My Ass Kicked By A Cake? Yes, Yes I did.

During a certain stage of my life, a stage best left in the past, I once thought that the crux of awesomeness would be me, bound to a table VIA hardened frosting, helpless and unable to move, as a army of spatula wielding pieces of birthday cake beat me.

One : I told you it is best left in the past.
Two : I was wrong.

Tonight I was beaten by a cake, and it was NOTHING like I had imagine!

BEHOLD, The wonder that is Cake Fail.

  3. Your self control is amazing. if a cake were to have the nerve to fall apart like that for me, I’d most definately eat the evidence quickly.

ha. who am i kidding. it would have been devoured. and no one would have known any different.
therefore.. it would have zero fat, or nutritional intake.

  10. @Sheila – Cake without iceing is a waste of time.

@Blondefabulous – Well, lets see, we mixed the batter, as per instructions…kinda, we ignored the part that said we had to use a pound cake mix, then we greased the pan as per instructions… kinda, we missed the part where it said to sue a spray and just smeared it with butter, then we baked it as per instructions – this part went well. when it came time to take the cake out of the pan, though, parts of it stuck, and parts of it exploded. Over all? I blame the cake, not me!

@Kristi – How many times must I explain that people eat cake not for the CAKE, but for the icing? Sheesh!

@Meritt – You know how Fire Fox will underline words that are spelled wrong, and then you click on them and they give you the proper spelling? WELL, I think it is high time for fire Fox top begin underlining words in blue that I have no definitions for… Example? Trifle. If fire fox was really cool, I would know what that word means. I blame fire fox, not me!

@Peggy – What is a red velvet cake? It sounds like a cross between a dress and a dessert!

@Robin – Please note teh glaring LACK OF ICING! Who on earth would eat a cake Sans icing? Not me, that’s for sure!

@phinz -My feelings entirely. Before we try this particular cake again, I will make sure there is a wedding between the flour and the eggs…. Should solve my problems, right?

  11. Red Velvet cake is actually a chocolate cake, but you can’t tell by looking at it. Because it is RED – and I mean – RED! It has 2 ounces of red food coloring in it. (Acquiring that on Valentine’s Day is a story in itself…) And it has yummy icing. (butter, milk, sugar, vanilla – how can that be anything but wonderful?) Would you like the recipe? I might even be able to send you a picture if my guys don’t finish it off before I get home from work tonight.
