While fellow Canadian Mike was busy this afternoon, I snuck into his blog, littered it with typo’s and stole this meme.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper! And Lots of tape. Every year, at least one present must be covered seventeen times in packing tape.

2. Real tree or Artificial?
Artificial. My BFF is deathly allergic to pine and I want her to still be able to come over in December.

3. When do you put up the tree?
The first Saturday in December. Or, if thats like six or seven days in, the last Saturday of November.

4. When do you take the tree down?
Right after New Years Eve.

5. Do you like eggnog?
Ewwwww! No. Although I love how it smells. My boys and Micah love it though, so we buy it as soon as it shows up in the stores.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
A doll. it was damn near as tall as I was and she had clothes and little plastic shoes and she was my friend.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
Hubs dad. OMG he’s insanely difficult!

8. Easiest person to buy for?
The boys. They blather on all year long about wanting this or that or that or this so its pretty easy to pick and choose what to get them. Bonus, they like just about anything and are really easy going when it comes to gifts, even if they don’t get the “OMG gotta have it” item on their list, they do not pout and complain.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Nope. Religion has its place, and it’s place is not in my home.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Every three or four years I send out Christmas cards. Don’t think I’ve ever e-mailed one before though

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I’ve never had a “worst gift” Ive given one, but never recieved one inreturn.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
Uhm. I halfway recall watching a Sponge Bob Christmas movie. but that might have just been a Christmas episode. either way it counts and since it’s the only one I can recall, that’s what i am going with.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
We start in August. We don’t believe in Credit Cards, and there are a lot of things we “need” to buy. it would be financially impossible to do it all in December so we start early.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yep. Not telling what though!

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
Pot of Gold (maraschino cherry) chocolates. or shortbread cookies. or Pumpkin Pie. Or stuffing.

16. Lights on the tree?
Uhm. Are there people out there who do not put lights on a tree? I mean, i guess if you got one of those pre-lit trees, you would not have to put them on, but they still count as lights… This is a dumb question!

17. Favorite Christmas song?
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
We alternate staying home (with hubs family) one year, and then heading to my dads the next year.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
I doubt it. I’m not going to try either.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
A star. It’s pretty.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
When I was a small girl, my mom and dad let us open a gift on Christmas Eve. It was always pajamas, but it is one of my most favorite memories of Christmas. We don’t let the boys open gifts on Christmas Eve  becuase we are mean.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
People online bitching that they cannot afford presents. Why the fuck are you online? My internet would be the first bill to go if I suddenly fell on hard times and needed extra cash. Dumbass.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
Right now we have a red and gold theme going. There was a big sale on Boxing day one year and we got them for like 2 bucks a box. When we see another good sale like that we will change it up again.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Anything I do not have to cook.

25. What do you want for Christmas?
