  1. We put up our tree today too. We must be psychically connected, you and I.

  2. So can I have a candy cane? LOL! Too cute! What a pretty tree!

  3. Your tree is awesome and I LOVE the puppy fence! I tried to think of a way to cat-proof it, but she’d totally just give me a “yeah, right, as if THIS is going to stop me” look and leap right over it. Of course, she’d probably land on the tree and tip it right over, just to spite me.

    Fingers crossed our trees stay upright! Damn this whole pet-owning business! :P

  4. Can’t the puppy just jump over the fence?

    Do you spray your tree with pine scent to make it smell like a real one?

    Can I have a candy cane?

  10. VERY nice!
    We put up our stuff yesterday, too. Grandpuppy Zoe just wanted to sniff everything and the only thing she actually tried to eat was the cotton batting that goes inside the circle of the train under the tree. Luckily, she’s not too sure about that train yet, so that keeps her away from the cotton.

    One question: What the HELL is that thing topping the tree?! Is that a reindeer? (not that I’m being critical–up until last year, our tree topper was a REALLY old santa that kept falling over, thus becoming known as “The Drunken Santa”–now he gets propped up in a chinese vase for the season–apparently he’s able to stay upright while doing sake shots).

  11. Mrs Nobody put our tree up last night. Don’t you have a cat? Does it fuck with the tree? Last cat I had (15 years ago) used to chew through the wires on the lights. I always hoped it would electrocute that little bastard, but it never did.

  12. My brother & SIL have cats–apparently Petey not only climbed the tree this year while they were gone, he also knocked it over and batted ornaments under the couches :lol: Good thing Petey’s the favorite!

  13. @Sheila – Well DUH!

    @Karen Sugarpants – that candy cane was made when parker was in Kindergarten. Or maybe Grade one. But he is in Grade four now. I will tell you the same thing I told Blake : NO!

    @Katie – Other than sleeping under the tree at the far back, Tigger ignores that it is there!

    @Avitable – I’m sure that if Sammi was bright enough to notice there WAS a fence or, ya know, a big effin tree in the room, she WOULD jump over it.
    My BFF is deathly allergic to pine, hence the fake tree. and NO, that thing is older than shit.

    @LeSombre – I did too. Lolz

    @Finn – not the one on the tree you don’t!

    @Tug – Smokey doesn’t care about the tree, she sniffed it once and has since ignored it. Sammi has yet to notice it is there. Or that the furniture has all been moved.

    @aunty – Smokey is a good dog.

    @Teena in Toronto – I’ll say “thank you” even thought I had very very little to do with decorating the tree.

    @phinz – Uhm. It’s a star. Just a plain old star with lights….

    @Nobody™ – Tigger thinks of it as a nice place to sleep where the dogs cant get her. she has not tired climbing it, chewing it or any other thing destructive. She is a good, but fat, cat.

    @phinz – LOL that would be quite the mess. I think Tigger might be too fat to climb trees….
