Somethings should not be blogged about. I Know, I KNOW! But where do you draw that line and know when the right amount of information is out there to tell the story but not damage the person the story is about?

Yeah. Heavy stuff.

My oldest boy, Parker, is nine now. He is still so much a little boy, but every so often, like when he hugs me and my face gets too close to his stinky boyman pits, a bit of the man he will become stinks shines through. What part of the stories that make up his life are mine still to tell? Should I have to ask his permission now when I wish to post about him?

Is it OK for me to log in to my blog and sit here, telling random strangers about how he has begun to choke the chicken on a daily basis? Most days, he does it more than once! (And he does it so LOUDLY! It’s fucking annoying!) Should that be something for him only?  Or can I use the excuse that since it is done in public and not behind closed doors, that it is an OK blog subject?

I mean, Just tonight after dinner, Parker stood in the kitchen talking to me about his latest class project and all the while his hands were rhythmically clenching and unclenching on his prize while the dogs barked and snapped by his side.

I swear, If that boy doesn’t stop choking that chicken I will go INSANE!!

  8. Ok, you got me. Though, for me, what really jumped out of this post was: Your kid talks to you about his school projects???? I barely got the ‘Mom I need to get (insert emergency need here) for a project’ – and then, of course, only 20 minutes before the craft store closes on the night before it was due!

    My 5 yr old has that nasty breath I have been trying ever so hard to get rid of. Yes, we brush her teeth after she does and brush her tongue. 10 minutes later, the nasty breath is back. :shock:
