Last night was Date Night. Hubs and I watched Tropic Thunder. It took me a while before I realized that Tom Cruise was in the movie, and after the movie, I got to wondering if this is the first movie Tommy has been in since the Couch Jumping Incident that has not been a total celebration of Suckage. Does anyone know?
Parker is in the middle of a sleep over. How do you people run your sleep overs? I let the kids play their own games (preferably downstairs), and feed them. Oh, and we watched a movie. Other then halting the occasional argument, it’s pretty laid back. Do other people plan activities and such for sleep overs? Am I just lazy? Does any of it matter, so long as the kids have fun and I am not driven to murder by the noise?
We bought Journey to the Center of the Earth. Hubs and I saw it in the theater a while ago, and i was just awed by it. It was my first experience with a 3D movie and it was fucking COOL. When we saw it last Saturday in Wal*Mart, we bought it. Unfortunately it only comes with four 3D glasses. Anyone have a spare set laying around?
Tonight the boys sat down, after opening four different kinds of chips, and watched the movie. I’m not sure about Parker’s friend, but this was my boy’s first experience with 3D and it was fucking funny watching Logan stretching his hand towards the TV to catch birds, to see Parker flinch when the T-Rex dropped a big loogy on “them”. I think that this move will quickly become a favorite for the boys, if not for the story – which is pretty cool, than for the special effects!
I play Keno on Facebook. I’m pretty damn addicted, I have a window open 24/7 with it on. My previous “Big Win” was 7500 KB, but last night, after returning home from the movies, I scored a 25K win. It was fucking AWESOME. My point is. If I can get six more people to accept an invite for keno, I get 500KB and I WANT THAT. So. If you are on facebook, can I pretty please send you an invite? You just have to accept it, you don’t have to play!

What happens when the glasses are broken and/or torn into tiny pieces? Then how do you watch the movie?
I think you did fine with the sleepover. If no one has to go to the emergency room and they all had fun, all is good. Don’t guilt yourself because you didn’t micromanage the time you had someone else’s kid. Would you expect that if Parker stayed at someone else’s house?
