The past two days have been filled with thunderclouds, lightning and a scared of thunder OHNOES! Run!HIDE! doggy. Also? Power outages. Lots and lots of them. I’ve had to reset everything electrical more times than I can count int he past 48 hours.

I love my laptop, so it was off for huge blocks of time during the storms. It’s still raining, but the threat of outages seems to be gone, so I am posting now, just in case!

Diane at Martini’s For Two has obviously been paying attention to my posts. Its very obvious she knows how much I love summer and tagged me with this meme!

It is supposed to be Things I Couldn’t Live Without This Summer, but I’m going to mix it up a bit, Half and half, with the things I LOVE about summer, and the things I HATE about it! There is no set number of things you have to love (or hate)

AND - I’m going to be tagging people!

1. I LOVE summer vacation. I love having the kids home with me for two straight months, no more worrying about getting up on time, or to bed on time or making lunches on time. OK. maybe it’s not having the kids home I love, but not having to be a slave to the clock!

2. I HATE the bugs. Oh, not the flies and mosquitoes, moths and beetles, those are all fine. I hate the spiders. I hate how as soon as the snow thaws every black fuzz I see makes me panic, I hate the fear I feel every time I need to go through a doorway, thinking they are up there, just waiting to drop onto my head, and make baby spiders in my brain.

3. I LOVE the hot weather. it’s perfect for playing out side. laying on a blanket in the grass with a cup of coffee and a book while the boys splash in a pool. It’s perfect for walks to the park and picnics under trees.

4. I HATE the hot weather. No airconditioning. Storm warnings. Power outages. Sunburns. GAH!

I’m ending this here, even though this list is no where near complete becuase the rain is coming down harder now and the TV is flashing it’s red Storm Warning bar. Again.

Tag? Sheila cus she hasn’t written a post in years. Tug, becuase she needs a meme to store as a draft for those days when she is super busy. Fantastagirl - becuase she has six weeks of recovery coming up and will need a quick post on at least ONE of those days.
