Searching online the other day I ran across this wiki artical. Needless to say it pissed me off and I decided to put this epic fail on the interwebs so everyone can point and giggle at wiki. In a mean way.
The primary industry in Saskatchewan is agriculture (farming), and the province is recognized by its wide horizons that stretch for miles (the land is really flat in the south, so you can see a very far way). There is a joke about the flat land in Saskatchewan: “My dog ran away last week.” (The joke teller gazes out at the horizon.) “Yep, look at him go.”
Now tell me. If Saskatchewan was really so fucking flat that you could watch a dog run away for a week, wouldnt you be able to see my house in this picture? I took it (from my car window) not even ten miles from my place. Surely even an old dog could run ten miles in one week.
Fuckers.

Is it sad that I totally didn’t get the joke the first time I read it? (Yes I’ve read it three times and I get it now
)
I’d love to live where you live. It looks perfect for someone like me, who can’t do hill starts!

@tori - I’ll have you know that Saskatchewan is actually the start of the rockie mountains. Geologically speaking…
@Absurdist - Dammit. I told hubs I needed to photoshop that out. not hat is not my house! Good eye though!
@Katie - are all the cars in Australia standard/stick shift/ whatever it’s called? I cannot drive those, I drive an automatic. This way you do not have to worry about hill starts.
@Avitable - YES! Holy fuck I dickered with that word six million times last night and KNEW it was wrong but the spell check was NOT helping. I’m not going back to change it though. Im way too lazy!
@Mr. Fabulous - And every night we frolic naked in the fields, covered only in the soft glow of moonlight…
@Trishk -Uhm. Well. ….Hey look! A bird!

I picked my particular house with a west facing living room so I could see three beautiful snow covered mountains. If I go to the end of the driveway and crane my neck around, I can see an additional four. The entire horizon is dotted with mountains. I love it. Flat land freaks me out.
