Today has been a very good day, and considering that Blue Boy passed his fevers from hell onto the baby, that says a lot!

Some of you might have seen my facebook status message a few days ago as “OhMyGOD, omgomgomg!“. Several people emailed me and left messages on facebook asking what was so exciting. As I was unwilling to jinx myself, I told everyone it was a secret.

But today I got confirmation, So I am ready to Squee my excitement all over the interwebs!

Just over a week ago, StuffOnMyCat put out a call asking if there were any cat lovers interested in becoming a contributor to their website.  I sent in an email expressing my desire to be one, along with links to these two posts from my archives. I was very sure that The SOMC crew would enjoy the posts I had linked for them, but at the same time, I was 100% certain that I would be rejected as a contributor, just based on the sheer volume of people who would be applying.

But then I got the email from Mario saying they would love to have me!   Thats when the panic set in. Was I good enough? Was I going to be able to take the criticism? There will be some people who read SOMC who do not share my sense of humor, and I wound easily. And what about Writes block? You’ve all seen me come down with it.

As excited as I was about being offered this chance, I was equally terrified. I wanted this SO badly, but the what if’s were killing me. My fear almost kept me from responding to Mario. In fact, It took six hours for me to finally get up the nerve to reply, Even then, I hyperventilated as I typed out my questions and sent it before I could change my mind. Again.

I am not being paid to write for SOMC, but I will gain in readership as BPR will be linked when I write for them, and Each time I am on SOMC I will link to them from here so that if any of you are interested you can go read it.

Originally I was going to wait for my first post to go up before telling every one, but I’m So Fucking Excited !
