Total Lunar Eclipse (of the heart)

When I read about the eclipse set for tonight three days ago I got inordinately excited. That the children are on spring break and thus able to stay awake for the show just proved to me that we were meant to see this! I had grandiose plans of the children inside sipping cocoa by the window while I sat outside in the cold, camera on the tripod, taking pictures like this:

I Google’d lunar eclipses and explained in detail why the moon was eclipsing and just why it is so rare. It is quite obvious that Stuperman, at the ripe old age of three, is already smarted than I am, when he argued vehemently tonight that Mr. Moon was just playing hide and seek.

Ahhhnyway. In reality, I refused to let the children drink Cocoa in the living room, they bitched that if they drink it in the kitchen they couldn’t see out the window to watch, so the cocoa was tossed down the drain. And my tripod steadied pictures?

Lucky for me, I remembered that handy husband type dude I keep stashed in the storage closet off the furnace room. I kicked him off the computer dusted him off, handed him the camera and said Pretty Please.

  21. hubs just set up the tripod on the front deck and took them. I think that late at night when hubs cannot sleep, he lets the camera take sexy pictures of his nakedness so that when the time comes, he can show me up with his wicked photography skills.
