Now with even more BlAh!!

We took the kids to see a movie today. 43.50 for the tickets and 47.30 for a large popcorn, two large drinks and three kids thingys. Fucking rip off.

We saw the Chipmonk movie. It was better than expected. I expect we will be purchasing it. And that I will willingly re watch it.

Going shopping tomorrow. We are stopping in at the Liquor store. I’m a firm believer of Starting as you mean to go, and I have decided that should 2008 be anything like the last few days weeks months, I would rather be drunk than deal with it.  Being as I am allergic to 99.9999997% of all alcohols and thusly never drink, I expect our alcohol bill for the entirety of ‘08 to be eleven dollars and nine cents.

Its a workable plan.

Hey! A perfect example of Teh Blahs! Its 1208 AM my time. I’m logging off to go clean my junk drawers - all twelve of them.

see ya next year

  1. what happens when you drink alcohol? hiccups? hot flashes? hives?

the first and second happen to me… and I think my bill is fairly comparable to yours, really.

  3. For five people, $43 doesn’t seem that bad. Now you just need to learn to smuggle in your own food and drink and you’ll be much better off.

  4. I’m a firm believer that “good endings may good beginnings”. In other words…take your Benedryl before you start drinking.

No, wait…that might be a really bad idea…

  6. I hate going to theater’s anyway, and haven’t been in 10 years, but holy cow! That’s 2 or 3 brand new DVD’s! Or almost a whole season of an HBO show!
And I always remember the snacks being horribly expensive, I used to sneak my own.

  7. It helps if you go to the Rainbow instead of the first-runs. However… then you have to listen to the whining until the movie has finished it’s run in the first-run theatres, so sometimes $100 might be worth shutting everyone up.

I haven’t gone to a movie in forever. Once the kids were old enough to get jobs, they go on their own with their friends and *they* pay for it. There is justice in the world!!

  9. No drinking for me, I havent been able to indulge for almost 5 years now. Not sure what would happen to me though, but the doctor seems adament and I never cared for it that much anyway so I obey!

I saw the chipmonks movie, I loved it!!! Wow, movies must be more expensive there. Here we always go early to get the cheaper tickets and it was 5.50 a person. Large popcorn and 2 drinks were 13.75.

    Happy new year gal!

  11. One reason I’m glad my kids are older, I don’t have to sell a kidney to see a movie I will buy in 4 months time and watch ad nauseum anyway!!!!! The movies they want to see now are cool.

I went to the store last night to buy some junk for the kids to eat while awaiting the NEW YEAR (woo) my change? $6.66. After the year I had, I went home and went to bed. I am DONE with you 07…AMEN.
