YAY! It’s Over!

I saw that many of you left very nice comments wishing me and mine a very merry Christmas and I thank you for it.

I feel that our family had a wonderful Christmas, what with the brakes failing while I was driving with Stuperman – he learned a new four letter word, JUST in time For family get together’s! We had two kids too sick to give a damn about Teh Fat Dude and the resulting bounty under the tree, hmm, a Broken bone*  and a massive case of hives rounded off this wonderful week!

Yep. just awesome.

I am extremely hopeful I will be able to get around to your blogs to comment..eventually. Things have to settle down at some point, Right?

* The bone in question may or may not be broken. We are waiting for the x-ray results. Also after reading the post, I felt I should point out the bone does not belong to me or mine of the immediate variety, Just a visiting niece. Still, four hours in the ER puts a damper on festivities, yaknow?

  3. Brakes failing? Damn. Daddypapersurfer is right.. it seems pretty dangerous to know me, everyone I know seems to get into some accident.

Sick kids on Christmas sucks. One year we had that. On Christmas Eve, the youngest was sick.. slept on the couch to be closer to the bathroom. I had a garbage pail next to the couch for emergency. He threw up at about 4 am, then looked up and said, “Oh.. Santa came.” He was too sick to open anything in the morning. Later that day, the oldest got sick. The next day it was Mr. Fracas. It was several days before we even bothered to make a turkey.

I blame school. They don’t let out early enough. That last day or so is everyone sharing treats and germs and viruses. Then… it’s just the right amount of time for the viruses to hit on Christmas. School should get out a few days earlier so they can throw up and get it all over with by the 23rd.

I’m glad things are settling down for you though.
