We took the kids to see a movie today. 43.50 for the tickets and 47.30 for a large popcorn, two large drinks and three kids thingys. Fucking rip off.
We saw the Chipmonk movie. It was better than expected. I expect we will be purchasing it. And that I will willingly re watch it.
Going shopping tomorrow. We are stopping in at the Liquor store. I’m a firm believer of Starting as you mean to go, and I have decided that should 2008 be anything like the last few days weeks months, I would rather be drunk than deal with it. Being as I am allergic to 99.9999997% of all alcohols and thusly never drink, I expect our alcohol bill for the entirety of ‘08 to be eleven dollars and nine cents.
Its a workable plan.

As per the Rules of Teh Blah, I have not washed dishes since.. oh say the 23 of December. Why yes, we have run out of clean dishes, but thats OK, the kids had pizza pops and cookies on paper plates for dinner, thanks for askin!
Wordpress says there is a new download. Thats awesome. But what the fuck do they want me to do with it?
Since the sinks are full of dirty crusty dishes, there is no room for me to fill the coffee pot with water. So. No coffee. And yet? even with the whole OMG NO COFFEE issue, I have no desire to actually load the dishwasher. *IDEA* Are dogs mouths really cleaner than a persons? What are the chances I can get the dog to lick them clean?
Ehn. Who cares.
I dunno if it is the season, the cold and snow or what, but I am in a real BLAH kinda mood. I just can’t seem to bring myself to give a damn - about anything, not just blogging.
Take getting dressed for example. I just cannot be bothered. And eating? WTF? there is chocolate everywhere and I can’t convince myself to lift my arm to grab it.
And this post? I just don’t care if it sounds whiny and blah..
I think my giveadamn got thrown out with the Christmas wrap and empty boxes. If you happen to see it send it my way. Or don’t doesn’t really matter either way.
HI! My name is Freida the Traveling Gnome. I have been visiting my friends Gnomer and Bob here at the Bluepaintred household. And Trust me, should you ever get the chance to visit here, DO IT IN THE SUMMER. Sure the mosquitoes are as big as I am, but at least it is warm!
While I was here, I did a lot of really cool things with the bluepaintred Family. I loved visiting with them all, and I hate that I have to leave tomorrow - well. I won’t miss the dog. She kept sniffing at my little plastic butt. I have never been thankful I don’t squeak before, It was quite a…unique …experience!
I helped Blue make cookies! Please note the guys standing there acting like they had a part in making the cookies. Truth is, they were watching TV while Blue and I did all the work. Take note men : Just becuase you taste tested the batter does not mean you were instrumental in making the cookies!
I did not like using Blue’s mixer. I had to have a bath shortly after this photo was snapped! And molasses is NOT easy to clean off!
And why aren’t there any Gnome sized knives to be found? Have you any idea how hard it was to work this knife and not cut off a foot? Y’all should be damn proud I am going home with all four limbs!
Blue has some great kids. A bit rough at times, and always noisy, but did enjoy going with Blue Boy to his Show and Share day in kindergarten. I was a hit with all of the kids. The guys were worried I wouldn’t be able to speak enough Canadian, so they came with me! I had the most fun during arts and craft time when the class got a chance to draw a picture of Me and the Boys!
Of course Teh Baby, Stuperman, is a movie fanatic, so a lot of snowy afternoons were passed sitting on the couch watching movies.
I spent the first week of my stay relaxing with Blue and her family, but on the eighth day Blue decided to make me earn my keep. She set me to matching socks - and man! Do they have a lot of socks!
I didn’t mind the underwear folding as much, In fact I came away a bit jealous of all the sweet lacy bits Blue has. Damn this plastic butt of mine!
All in all, my trip to Canada was a wonderful experience! I’m going to miss Gnomer and Bob, But they swore they would write. (And Bob promised to sneak onto the webcam late at night *wink*) As much as I will miss everyone here, I will not miss the snow.
The bone is broken.
But the funny part - yes there can be Teh Funneh even during an ER visit, here is a conversation between the parents of my niece :
Her : Why did we get them snowboards? They are so dangerous!
Him : Well, you wanted to get them snowoar-
Her : Do you remember? When we were buying them, I said we were just giving the kids an excuse to kill themselves!
*pause*
Him: Well…
Her: Why did you let me buy them??!!
Him : I told you we should have gotten them guns, but you wanted the snowboards!
At this point I felt it prudent to step outside for a smoke - more to keep from laughing at the two of them than for want of nicotine!
